Context
A song of the Sons of Korah (heading) for days when the earth gives way, the mountains shake and the nations rage (Psalm 46:2-⁠3, 6). God is in the midst of his city, and the refrain says, “The LORD of hosts is with us” (46:5, 7, 11).
  1. Ask what they fear, and bring that one thing to God in plain words.
  2. Pray for courage for the next step, not for the whole road at once.
  3. Stay a moment after the prayer; being with them is part of it.
